The effectiveness of the powder coating process depends largely on the correct preparation of the surface. For this purpose, an appropriate method and parameters of treatment are selected: degreasing, pickling, and chromating or titanium-based chromium-free passivation – for aluminium products, or degreasing, iron phosphating and silane-based chromium-free passivation – for steel products
Individual components often require mechanical pre-treatment.
We also apply blasting performed with corundum powder and steel shot. Less frequently, we also use grinding discs and lamellar flap discs.
The methods and techniques of surface preparation are always selected according to both the surface quality and initial state. We always take actions which are optimal for a given material.
In this way, we obtain proper surface adhesion, which is important for the durability of painting as well as resistance to mechanical and chemical damage of the resulting coating.
